Peters grew up on Long Island, New York. Her early years were mostly uneventful until she realized that her family had some relationship problems. Her mother and father separated when she was only 4 years old and got back together when she was 12. It was challenging as her brother was 10 years older than her so she really had no sibling to turn to. She was a young child and didn’t really understand their troubles.In her later years, as she witnessed many friends and family struggle in their relationships, she began to want to help others. Her own relationships were struggling, too. She was focused on finding an answer and realized it is not who you find, but who you are. She isnow with a special man who is understanding and accepting. Her dream wedding in Paris is one she will never forget.As a Relationship Coach & Author, Barbara is passionate about helping people improve their relationships. Through individual coaching, she is dedicated to each and every client, no matter what they bring to the table. They work as a team to make the life changes they need. Her passion has led her to write several books on relationships, including how to make blended families work.Barbara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from C.W. Post College of Long Island University, a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Stony Brook University, and a Master of Science in Counseling from Georgia State University.
