Author Sarah C. Williams joins the show from “across the pond” to share the powerful story of her book “Perfectly Human: Nine Months with Cerian.” During Sarah’s pregnancy, she learned that her baby would very likely not survive due to a lethal skeletal deformity—news that would radically alter the course of Sarah’s life and that of her family’s. Welsh for “loved one,” the name Cerian (pronounced “KERRY-en”) was given to her baby after Sarah and her husband Paul learned of her baby’s diagnosis.
