The number of New Zealanders diagnosed with autism has more than tripled over the past 15 years, according to new research. The Otago University study is the first to examine autism diagnosis trends for both children and adults across the country. Associate Professor Ben Beaglehole from Otago University's Department of Psychological Medicine led the study and spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
