Signs of autism in girls is different to that of them in boys and is why autism in females is often ignored or misdiagnosed. I spoke with an autism girl about autism in girls and women and how the traits differ from that in males. There are probably just as many autism women as there are men in the world but we just don't have the diagnostic understanding everywhere yet to diagnose them. But be it an autistic girl or an autistic man, the autism symptoms are the same at the core of the condition, with co-morbid issues like communication, mental health issues and OCD. I love to help spread awareness and understanding about autism in girls as it is something i have found that is missing online.
