Autistic Assemble/Let's talk about Autism - With Carrin Gilmore

from Crohn's and Autism Awareness Advocate · host Mason Milne

Today is a great episode day! I am joined with Carrin Gilmore who works with Carole Jean from "Mind your autistic Brain" Carole was on the show last year. Carrin was diagnosed as autistic 18 months old so being autistic is all Carrin has ever known. Carole is a advocate for Autism loves sharing her own experience and journey. This interview had some cancelations due to our busy schedules but we made it!  Some many topics from Carrin being a school teachers to our own school experiences, the difference now with ages getting diagnosed is more broader to when we was diagnosed during childhood. We talk about the process of sound, and how lovely the community can be, we also talk about how nice the term Neurodiversity, Neurodivergent and it braces autism is a wider spectrum and a nice light.  Carrin gives some great advise, but Carrin's goal is to change the world but one person at a time, I always love the saying "When you meet one autistic person, you have met one autistic person.  Thank you again Carrin for lovely conversation, must do it again!
