Electrics were all the rage a few years ago. Nissan, Mitsubishi and Chevrolet, among others, gave consumers their first taste of gas free driving. But as manufacturers improved the performance of their internal combustion engines, electrics almost went into hibernation. But now, suddenly, they are de rigueur once again.
