This is Eric Jabro of Information Security Media Group, and I'm speaking with Jessica Gulip, Vice President of Global Marketing at CSG Indotas. Welcome Jessica. Thank you. I'll tell you a bit about your company and what you offer.
So CSG have launched last year at RSA, and we are a small piece of CSG International, which is a telecommunications software company across 24 nations around the world. Two years ago, CSG worked with a government client and was looking at if they could take some of the workflow processing systems that they have in telecommunications space and apply it to security operations. They were successful, and here we are today. So we help our clients find a sweet spot, and that sweet spot is where automation and machine work together.
There are a load of high volume of threats coming out of security operators every day, but much of their time is spent doing the redundant, repetitive processes. These are your high frequency, low impact incidents that are really starting to drain the resources, such that they can't see or have time to work on what they really need to focus on. And so what we do is really help our clients apply automation in new ways so that they can automate those repetitive processes and have their analysts be analyst again. So when you talk to your customers, what are their biggest concerns?
Surprising to me, because when I do talk to them, you would think they would be engaging us on the latest threat that occurred in the news, but they're not. Our clients are really stressed by the fact that they don't have enough staff or the right staff to actually do what needs to be done. And so when they hear about automation, it's not for the advanced processes that they want to apply. They want to start small.
They want to talk about their abuse mailbox, something that drains their resources. How can they take these repetitive actions and have the computer do it, have the machine do it so their analysts can start delving into the details and doing more of the forensics that need to be done? So it sounds like this could be one of the solutions to the manpower problem of being able to find qualified people to hire. It can.
It definitely can. And one of the things I would say though is a lot of people say machines are going to replace humans. And that's not where we're going at all. In fact, what differentiates our solution from the others is we keep the human in the loop.
We're not about replacing your analysts. What we're about is providing your analysts with the ability to use the technology that has been acquired by the organization in a unified way so they can get quick access to the data that they need to have, be able to sift through those with nice visualizations and take confidently the actions that they need to take without having to waste too much time doing tickets or finding out who's available to approve something. Just let the automation do that so they can focus on what's really important. Thank you, Jessica.
Thank you.
