Average at Best

from Fit, Feminine, & Friendly · host Taylor Smith

This episode discusses the mediocrity in the black community, and how black people as a whole are taught that average is good enough. This episode will also discuss how we as black people enable lazy and unmotivated men in our culture and make excuses for the lack of progress we as a people have made. I will discuss the differences between black women and black men, why the “strong black woman” came into play, and why black women also need to do better; stop overly sexualizing ourselves, have more self respect, know our worth, pour into ourselves, work on ourselves to create value, and place ourselves in a better position to have a better life, and to ultimately find a better partner.
