Avoid Predatory Certification Videos on YouTube!
from LoFi Tech Podcast Hosted by sean gil
Lately, there has been a SPIKE of youtube videos advertising fake dreams of earning $100k+ immediately after obtaining some google certifications. While the certifications are legitimate and do provide value, the way these content creators advertise them are unrealistic and dishonorable. They encourage people to use their affiliate links to sell services on websites like peopleperhour, fiver, and upwork. While those websites are great for offering services, they do not talk about the thousands of other people who will undercut you for pennies. Don't be fooled! These content creators have never even done the certifications themselves and they are just trying to get you to sign up with their links to make a few bucks. If you know anyone that is falling for this predatory practice, let them know and help them!
