Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text!Length: 1 hour 21 minutesSynopsis: Last night (11/14/24), in our Thursday night Pirkei Avos shiur for women, we learned the next mishnah. Like the previous one, this mishnah is a warning to judges not to judge alone, no matter what their level of expertise, and what not to do once they're on a court with peers who aren't experts. After familiarizing ourselves with the facts about the cases in which one is permitted to judge alone, we learned through three interpretations of our mishnah, and even though none of us are expert judges, we walked away with practical lessons for our everyday lives.-----מקורות:אבות ד:חרמב"ם – משנה תורה: ספר שופטים, הלכות סנהדרין והעונשין המסורין להן ב:י-יארמב"ם – פירוש המשניות בכורות ד:ג-דרמב"ם – פירוש המשניות סנהדרין ג:ארבינו יונהרש"י, אבן עזרא, רלב"ג ביאור המילות - בראשית ג:ומאיריספורנורש"י - בראשית יא:ה; יח:כא-----This week’s Torah content has been sponsored by Yael Weiss.
