2025 has come to a close, and what a run it's been for the Avalanche since October, as the first team in NHL history to hit 30 wins before the new year. Blackwood and Wedgewood being snubbed from Team Canada couldn't the new years spirit, as the Avalanche got to embarrass Jordan Binnington who was selected instead in front of the GM who picked him, running the Blues out of the building with a 6-1 dominant win.
