The NTSB issues its report on the Atlas Air 3591 crash. And US airlines begin backing away from ambitious recovery plans as COVID-19 cases are again on the rise. Report review This week, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization released a factual report detailing the chain of events that led to the downing of PS 752. We discuss what happened and where the investigation stands. The NTSB held its board meeting on the crash of Atlas Air 3591 to determine the probable cause of the crash in Texas. And the Moroccan BEA released a report on a serious incident involving a Royal Air Maroc ATR 72 that could have been much worse. Recovery? Not so fast The second quarter was horrible. Initial financial reporting from Delta gives us an idea of just how horrible. And other airlines are continuing to park aircraft and preparing to furlough staff.
