We discuss the close coordination between the pilots and air traffic control to bring the incident to a safe conclusion. State of the industry Much of this episode deals with the stark reality facing airlines and the people that work for them at the moment. Traffic growth has slowed, airlines are making plans to keep schedules pared back for years, and thousands of people throughout the industry are facing furlough in the coming months.
