Awaaz

Awaaz is the premier co-ed South Asian fusion a cappella team at the University of Washington. The team was founded in 2009 and is made up of singers who come from various musical backgrounds. This group aims to fuse South Asian and Western vocal music through melodious and rhythmic a cappella arrangements. From popular Bollywood and Indian classical melodies to catchy American pop and hip hop tunes, the group covers many different genres of songs, adding their own flavor to the music they produce. That flavor will be on display at the A3 finals, but before that, they are talking to us! Listen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/AWAAZuw
