Awaken Hope with Chelsea Blackbird the Christian Nutritionist

from Awaken Hope · host Kandiee Campbell

About Chelsea Blackbird Hi! I'm Chelsea! I never thought I’d be a nutritionist. But after hitting dead ends in the medical system for my digestive issues, genetic skin condition and infertility, I desperately searched for answers and discovered the power of real food. Changing my diet changed my life. I overcame my digestive problems, my skin condition (after doctors said there was nothing more they could do) and I got pregnant in 6 weeks after trying for over a year. A few years and three kids later, I decided to go back to school to understand how real food did that! And why didn’t anyone TELL ME? Why didn’t any of the many doctors I’d seen over the years ever ask me about what I was eating? I didn’t plan on “being a nutritionist;” I just wanted to learn and help my family and friends. But once I truly understood how food affects the physiology of the body and how much the knowledge I had could change lives, I KNEW I had to share it with people.  Enter God. One day I felt the overwhelming sense I was supposed to be The Christian Nutritionist. I was like - me? You talkin’ to ME Lord? Because I’m not “religious” enough or knowledgeable enough or brave enough to do such a thing. What will my friends think? My family think? I mean, I have always loved the Lord but in my own private way. Not so…..publicly. 😬 But I couldn’t ignore the calling. I stepped out in faith and here we are. I could cry (have cried!) with gratitude for the plans God had for me and the path He leads me down. I feel Him constantly moving me to reach more people - to get His people healthy so that they can do all of the work He has called them to do in the world. When we eat well, we feel well and we serve well. We show up for our families, friends and community as our very best selves. The ripple effect of that is far and wide. And that’s why I’m here. To keep you focused on more God and better health. It has been my privilege to help thousands of Christian women reach their optimal weight, increase energy, sleep better, find food peace and show up as the person they want to be in the world. I can help you and I can’t wait to. We put God first and find the place where Real Food meets Real Life so you can actually enjoy and sustain a way of eating that works (and sometimes that means chips and wine 😉). Please poke around the website for information and inspiration but if you really want to engage in a full spirit, mind, body health makeover, sign up for my signature Feast 2 Fast® program. It’s what I put all clients through because it’s what changes lives. It’s what I wish I knew 20 years ago when I was battling my health issues. Website: https://www.thechristiannutritionist.com

Paper Flower Consortium is a podcast from the largest vampire coven in Seattle. Their stories are told by Loretta Fabron Onfoy, coven historian and librarian, in the hope that the modern vampire's way of life is not lost during the next great language transformation. Some tales in this anthology are horrific, some are droll, some are filled with misadventure--just like any eternal existence. Episodes sponsored by the Paper Flower Consortium's Business Community. The history is followed by questions from curious initiates. Want to ask Lady Loretta a question about vampirism? Have a topic you want to see discussed? Understanding the ten commandments can be a good place to reflect on, as they were one of Israel's first introductions to learning how to relate to God and live in His way. Jesus also references the commandments in his sermon on the mount saying, “...whoever does them [the commandments] will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19) Looking forward to exploring these with you!
