Awaken Hope with Trent Brock Part 2

from Awaken Hope · host Kandiee Campbell

Originally from Louisiana, Trent Brock is an international small business entrepreneur who introduced, owned, and operated a successful kettle corn business in New Zealand for fourteen years.  Trent is also a three-time terminal cancer conqueror. In 2019, hip cancer surgery left his left leg four inches shorter than his right, with doctors saying he would never walk again. In 2020, lung cancer and in 2021, pancreatic cancer with less than a 5% chance of survival. Five specialists told him he would not make it with one giving him a year to live, they advised him to return to the US for his final day with his family.  Refusing to wait around to die, Trent decided he would not give up or literally die trying. He received life-saving treatment in the US and drastically changed his diet, exercise routine, mental and spiritual mindset. Now, Trent is over three years cancer-free! After nearly five years using a wheelchair and crutches, he was accepted as a patient into Mayo Clinic in 2023, undergoing four major hip surgeries totaling over forty hours. This culminated in the largest, most complex, fully customized hip implant ever done in the world, featuring groundbreaking procedures to be published in medical journals. Trent began walking in the fall of 2024 with the assistance of his “cool cane” and jokes that he is part-bionic with his “hip-of-the-future.” Throughout his treatments and recovery, Trent continued to work remotely on his kettle corn business in New Zealand. He completed the sale of his business in February 2024. With a new lease on life and time to spare, Trent became a certified speaker/coach, and patient advocate. He enjoys sharing his inspirational story on podcasts and stages, coaching people through obstacles, goals, or cancer/health journeys. For those who need assistance with the health system, Trent is a passionate patient advocate. And to top it off, he is a two-time best-selling author. Their stories are told by Loretta Fabron Onfoy, coven historian and librarian, in the hope that the modern vampire's way of life is not lost during the next great language transformation. Some tales in this anthology are horrific, some are droll, some are filled with misadventure--just like any eternal existence. Episodes sponsored by the Paper Flower Consortium's Business Community. The history is followed by questions from curious initiates. Want to ask Lady Loretta a question about vampirism? Have a topic you want to see discussed? Understanding the ten commandments can be a good place to reflect on, as they were one of Israel's first introductions to learning how to relate to God and live in His way. Jesus also references the commandments in his sermon on the mount saying, “...whoever does them [the commandments] will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19) Looking forward to exploring these with you!
