Awful Waste of Space

It's another episode, another birthday here on Sneople at the Movies, and this time we let Helena pick a double feature of Contact (1997) and First Contact (1996)! Helena and Matty briefly go over the plots of both films before diving into what makes this Unusual Double Feature so great! They get a little teary-eyed over aliens, talk about how much they love Data, and absolutely dunk on Matthew McConaughey (mostly Matty, because there can only be one Matthew on this show thank you very much). They also take a brief sojourn into talking about Baby Yoda and become flies on the wall at that meeting where they decided to have Yoda do sick flips in Revenge of the Sith. Remember those stunts? Couldn't do that with a puppet, could they?
