Ayesha Chapter 10 - In the Shaman's Chamber

In which the intrepid visitors find themselves in the highest tower of a forbidding palace, where grave revelations unfold concerning the tangled fates of the Khania Atene, the mad Khan Rassen, and the stranger lord Leo Vincey; amid whispered prophecies and bitter resentments, a choice is laid before Leo that sets the stage for a perilous contest of wills. There, in a chamber charged with ancient sorcery and simmering passions, alliances are tested and the shadow of doom hangs over the kingdom, whilst the prisoners contemplate an audacious flight towards a mountain of fire.
