We have to see that pain or joy are the only options we have. We think we would choose joy and that would be obvious. We do not see we are deciding for thoughts, deeds or actions that may result in pain. We are responsible for the pain. It is a result of misperception. We can change our mind. Thank goodness we can choose the joy of God instead of pain.
