Attack thoughts always attack our self. Forgiveness always liberates us from judgments. Empathy is what the Holy Spirit bestows on us in times of difficulty. We may not know which way to go, but we can ask the Holy Spirit to guide us. We need not fear. We need not "manage things" ourselves. Difficult situations call for surrender, on our part, not more complicated systems of management. Our "management" and "plans" could very well be an attack. And they would lead to our own "crucifixion." We can always let go, which is to say, we can always forgive ourselves for the mistakes we made that kept us apart from pure joy.
