This week's show spotlights Frédéric Chaudière Vigneron at Château Pesquié and Président de l'AOC Ventoux. For fifty years, three generations of the Chaudière family, who own the Château, have worked with the same desire to explore and fully express the terroir of AOC Ventoux. Frédéric and his brother Alexandre are the latest generation in charge of the estate, tending their vines with care and precision in accordance with biodynamic principles. Mark Hicken, President at Alca Intelligence Inc, joins us to talk about a host of big picture issues facing the Canadian wine industry, and we spend some time discussing the antiquated Provincial wine laws regarding shipping wines. Regular contributor Geoffrey Moss, Master of Wine and owner of Lithica Wine Marketing, speaks with Anthony about what young people want from wine, while Marco Balsimelli, Technical Director at Ornellaia, joins us in the studio with a bottle of Ornellaia 2023 Bolgheri DOC Superiore Rosso for tasting.
