B.O.M. - Episode 0077 - Docuality

from Bums of Manarchy · host Eddie, Paddy & Rocky

Send us Fan MailThe Bums start part one of S3:E0077 with a March Madness update (whole lot of shaking going on); the Big Ten continues its long traditional of being overrated, only to whimper out of the NCAA tourney; Ed “Itchy Culo” Cooley is shown the door (sans fanfare or respect), and St. Rick “The Vampire” Pitino gets a new St. Job; talk turns to NFL trades, free agency and draft prep — as the Detroit Lions have made enough solid moves to be picked by some as NFC North Champs in 2023; the NHL and the Chicago BlackEyeHawks are in deep shit again, this time taking sides with xenophobic, Russian players (WTAF); and close with a “piece” on former Golf Channel host Holly Sonders, who is pimping of a new venture — a Topless Sports League (yes, really). Part two begins with another Intergalactically famous beer review by way of Normal, IL and a creation from Destihl Brewery, “Dead Head IPA” (6.9% ABV), an American IPA — ”Like the bold colors & patterns of a tie-dye shirt, this West Coast-style IPA is bursting with psychedelic hoppy & fruity aromas swirling with abundant American hop flavor & bitterness and a vintage malt backdrop”, and apt description of this tasty West Coast IPA that is likely to sneak up on you if you’re not careful; the Bums issue a rare correction on the topic of Ales & Lagers; Rocky snags some migratory rainbow trout on a frigid river in Michigan; the Bums review a Netflix docuseries (Eddie coins a new term); Rocky’s iPhone captures some unplanned audio, the results are kinda funny; Swiss watch makerTag Huer has some work to do (magnets are not your friend); and close with a discussion of Chicago’s construction season, pushing some of commuters to the rails.   All of this, and our usual nonsense. Recorded on March 23rd, 2023 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters ‘East Bunker’ in Chicago, IL USA.
