from Beverly D truth2power · host BEVERLY D

Take the mask off so you can see” is a line from the popular hip-hop song by Future and Kendrick Lamar. The mask plays a very important role in both human history and psychology. It is often a reflection of the various archetypes that we encounter in our lives as well as a shield for our inner souls. We will discuss the mentality of the mask as it relates to current events and its implications for the future. Summer also comes with its own rituals and celebrations. We unlock some of the secrets to festivals such as Midsommer, Homowo, and Egyptian New Year (Wep Renpet) as we take a look at midsummers magic. Baba Kentu is a teacher of african spiritual sciences whose areas of inter- ests range from word power to rituals. Lastly, Baba Kentu is the clinical di- rector of the Djed Institute of Learning, an academic and behavioral service provider that specializes in african-centered education and the seven liberal arts.
