Andrew Thomas is a high school business and personal finance teacher in Connecticut A graduate of the University of New Haven in 2005 he amassed, at the time of graduation, $140,000 in student loan debt. When he finally obtained my dream job of being a high school teacher, he received a bill from his student loan company for $1,080. After a little research he realized that that he had a broken payment plan and discovered a total debt load of over $180,000! He decided to take a stand against his debt payer with legal action.
