Baby Dedications

This sermon from Ben Martin, our senior elder at Dorchester Family Church, focuses on what the Bible outlines as the fundamental needs of children. Using Luke 2:52 which describes how Jesus "grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man," Ben identifies four key areas parents should nurture: intellectual/wisdom, physical, spiritual/relationship with God, and relational/favour with others. He provides practical parenting advice for each area, to raise children to become more like Christ. Ben encourages parents to look to God's wisdom over worldly definitions of success, and to embrace the support of their church community in this high calling of parenthood.
