I have navigated a challenging life marked by unexpected experiences, which has ultimately led me to seek a reliable method of birth control. At that time, I opted for Essure, a non-surgical contraception technique involving the insertion of small coils into the fallopian tubes. In 2007, the coils were implanted, but they resulted in numerous complications. An MRI revealed that the coils were protruding approximately 3 centimeters and caused significant damage and scarring to my uterus, resulting in the need for a partial hysterectomy.Upon meeting my husband, Reginald, who has been a true blessing in my life, we both yearned to expand our family and share our love through the gift of a child. Understanding the financial and emotional investment involved, we were determined to undertake the necessary steps to achieve our goal.Our IVF journey began at Shady Grove Fertility in Tampa, Florida, where we successfully retrieved eggs and ultimately had two viable female embryos.
