Baby-Time - Why "It's Not Working" Is Always a Lie Are you able to stick with your healthy eating plan for two weeks at the very most? Do you find yourself getting frustrated if your results aren't "fast enough" and then you decide that "it's not working" and weight loss never works for you (only for others)? Here's something interesting: Baby-Time can really sabotage a weight loss journey. Babies want everything now. There's no "later" in a baby's brain. What if Baby-Time has been getting in the way of you weight loss you really (really) want? When "It's Not Working" Is A Lie Is it always a lie that "it's not working" with your weight loss? Well, I'm assuming that you're following a healthy, sane, eating plan, but you're not able to stick with it over time. Because yes, it can definitely be true that your weight loss doesn't work if you're doing a fad diet, a quick fix, a cleanse that isn't an eating plan or some kind of magical promise of a quick fix so that you "don't have to think about it" - if you want a tap on the head with a magical wand. If on the other hand, you really have been following your healthy lifestyle plan but your progress isn't as fast as you want it to be, then it's not true that it's not working just because your weight loss is slower than you want it to be. What IS true is that if you tell yourself you must have your results NOW (that's Baby-Time) then you will prove to yourself "it's not working" because it won't work if you must have instant results and when you don't get them, you abandon your plan while believing "it doesn't work". In episode #712 of The JoLynn Braley Show, we'll take a look at: * How Baby-Time can trap you in a perpetual spiral of "not getting anywhere" related to your weight loss goal * Why it's critical to learn how to manage the gap * How anxiety over your pace of progress can sabotage your weight loss journey To start listening, click the play button below, under the big pink arrows.
