Babylon is Fallen, is Fallen

VERSE 1 From Babel’s tower the nations rose To build kingdoms that challenged God; But heaven scattered all their pride When truth was lost and boasting stood. From Nimrod’s reign to Daniel’s day A golden empire ruled the earth; But kingdoms rise, then crumble down— For Christ, the Rock, will end their boast. REFRAIN Babylon is fallen, is fallen— Her fading glory turns to dust. Her wine deceives the nations still With doctrines shaped in fraud and lust. Yet God still calls His people, “Come out and stand apart!” For Babylon is fallen— Let truth awaken every heart. VERSE 2 Through ages dark a power rose, Where church and state were tightly wed; Traditions masked with Scripture’s robe Replaced God’s law immutable. A woman rides the leopard beast, Her chalice filled with error’s wine; She wore out saints with sword and flame— And prophecy says this returns in time. REFRAIN Babylon is fallen, is fallen— Her kingdoms cannot stand. She alters times and laws Against the Lord’s command. But Christ preserves His remnant Who guard His Word and Name; For Babylon is fallen— And soon will drink God’s wrath proclaimed. VERSE 3 Three spirits foul like croaking frogs Form earth’s unholy trinity— The Dragon—dark Spiritualism’s throne, The Beast—Papal Rome’s proud apostasy, The False Prophet—fallen Protestantism Speaking with a dragon’s breath. They gather nations to one creed— The Sunday mark, the Beast’s decree. The world drinks deep deception’s wine Till drunkenness leads to their fall. REFRAIN Babylon is fallen, is fallen— Her sins reach Heaven’s throne. The merchants of her sorceries Lament her power overthrown. But God calls forth His faithful, “Come out, My people dear! Partake not in her judgments— For soon the plagues appear!” VERSE 4 A mighty angel amplifies The three angels messages; God’s glory shines through all His saints As latter rain gives power to speak. Aloud they cry, “Come out of her Before probation’s door is sealed!” The Shepherd’s voice is recognized— Millions respond and heed the call. They worship Him who made all things, Uphold His Sabbath and His seal. FINAL REFRAIN Babylon is fallen, is fallen— Her downfall is now complete. Her union with the powers of earth Enforces Sunday sacredness; The Mark of Beast crisis spreads abroad— But God gives forth His Loudest Cry. Millions enter the Shepherd’s fold Before the gate closes and probation ends. TAG Babylon is fallen, is fallen— Her downfall is now complete. Her dried-up Euphrates clears the way For Christ’s return from the East.
