We’re back! After taking a mid-summer break, Emerald Downs returns to action July 11-13 to begin the second half of the 2025 season. Some great racing is on tap Friday night as well as many half-price food & beverage specials plus the $1,000 horseshoe toss. It’s also Corgi weekend, with the popular breed on the track both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday brings the Corgi championship events with a half-hour espn2 special coming later in the summer. Guests include horse owner Craig Fredrickson, who remembers trainer Bonnie Jenne after her passing two weeks ago. Fredrickson became good friends with both Bonnie and Wally Jenne and achieved success with runners such as Couldabenthewhisky, Itsallabouttheride and Dynamic Secret. Jon White adds personal accounts on the career of D W Lukas.
