Back to Basics

In 1 Timothy 6:6-11 we are taught that getting back to the basics in the church is vitally important. There is the importance of prayer. The importance of loving one another. The importance of loving souls. But most the importance of living each day in the light of His coming. Paul’s call for a return to basics in daily living. We ofter think of  success in the eyes of the world you know Fame, wealth ect… But True success… “loving the Lord thy God with all thine heart, soul, and mind.” There are four things I want to review in getting back to basics in the Christian life: Godliness (v.6), Contentment, Understanding (vv.9-10), and Goals (v.11).
