When you think about it, a simple thing like reading your Bible is not so simple at all. Especially if you desire to really understand and apply what it says. Bible scholars, preachers, evangelists, and commentators, in general, each use various methods of interpretation, called hermeneutics (hur-muh-NOO-tiks). Sometimes different methods give rise to different interpretations so it's important to make a few distinctions.
