Back to the Fundamentals with Trevor Steel

In this episode of Unleash Your Unique Genius, I sit down again with my friend and fellow entrepreneur Trevor Steel—owner of Clean Image Pressure Washing and Steele Realty—for a real, behind-the-scenes conversation on the season of recalibration. As we kick off the new year, Trevor shares why he’s focused on going back to the basics: refining operations, reviewing financials, and building systems that make sense for the long game. We talk about the painful realities of not hitting your year-end numbers, what it means to lead without an integrator, and how to shake off the shame and step into the CEO role with intention, even when things feel messy. If you’ve been struggling to bridge the gap between vision and execution, this episode will meet you right where you are—with humor, honesty, and actionable steps. 🔥 Here’s what we cover: Facing Reality Without Shame What Trevor learned from missing his goals and how he turned disappointment into clarity and action. The emotional rollercoaster entrepreneurs experience when reviewing year-end performance—and how to bounce back. The Visionary’s Dilemma: Building Systems You Don’t Want to Follow Why many founders resist the “boring stuff” like daily huddles, job costing, and expense tracking—and how Trevor made it simple.
