Backsliding
from Participles · host Lemo Utan
The percussion part is written for the principal beat/pulse only. Percussion section is centre stage. Saxes and trumpet should form a trio at one side of the stage. Horn and trombone pair off at the other side of the stage. Drummer is expected to do what a drummer does, ad lib, at roughly ten second intervals. Each clique shall be self-contained and unconcerned about the other, although all players will naturally attend to the drummer's pulse.
