For the first BackTalk, I bring back Steve Erickson, music & film critic, and music producer. We get into South African music – the history, recent & current artists, its future, how the country’s politics & culture have shaped it, and how in the last 100 years or so it has had a particularly & surprisingly close relationship with US music.
