Badflower - Josh Katz (2021)

Josh Katz is a guitarist, vocalist and producer for American rock band Badflower. The band immediately made waves with ther EP 'Temper', which made Apple Music name them Artist of the Week in 2016. Their debut album 'OK, I'm Sick' was released in 2019 to good acclaim, propelled by the heartfelt, authentic, and at times confrontational lyrics by Katz. Badflowers recently released their second album 'This Is How The World Ends', and we spoke with Katz about the album, how he started writing songs, his development as a lyricist, the song 'Family', wanting to sound genuine, escapism vs confrontational art, struggling with being thoughtful, and a lot more. Interview by: Robin HignellSupport the showThank you for listening!
