Wisconsin football kicks off its 2026 season with a historic, high-stakes showdown against Notre Dame at Lambeau Field—marking the return of the Shamrock Series and the first college game at the stadium since 2016. Notre Dame, a 20.5-point favorite, enters with momentum after a 10-2 season and a 10-game win streak, while Wisconsin battles injury concerns, including potential absences for right guard Emerson Mandell and possible snaps from Division II transfer Stylz Blackmon. With the game airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock, this matchup sets the tone for Luke Fickell’s squad as they face one of the nation’s elite teams in a battle that could define their season.
