Badgers vs Notre Dame Season Opener | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

The Wisconsin Badgers kick off their 2026 season in a high-stakes showdown against Notre Dame at Lambeau Field, primetime on NBC. After a brutal 4-8 campaign last year, the Badgers are reloading with over 30 transfers and coaching changes, led by explosive new QB Colton Joseph. Their defense is counting on rising sophomores Mason Posa and Cooper Catalano, while Notre Dame, fresh off a 10-2 run and playoff push, returns star QB C.J. Carr. With the spread now at 21 points in favor of the Fighting Irish and key injuries like right guard Emerson Mandell sidelined, Wisconsin’s road to redemption begins under the lights — and they’re hoping to pull off the upset.
