Bahattin Akşit 2024 Karpat & Meriç: Transformations in Religion, Nation, Culture, Language & Thought

This video is the English version of the Lecture on Kemal Karpat and Cemil Meriç both of whom were born outside the boundaries of Turkey and hankered to be inside and hence they migrated to Turkey. Kemal Karpat was born in Babadag, Dobruja Romania in 1924, was educated and worked in Turkey and USA and died in 2019; while Cemil Meriç was born in 1916 in Reyhaniye, Hatay, started his education in Hatay, while Hatay was under French Rule, and continued in Turkey.
