Bahattin Akşit 2024 Ülken & Fındıkoğlu: Two Sociological Approaches in Istanbul University

This video is the English version of the Lecture on Hilmi Ziya Ülken and Ziyaeddin Fahri Fındıkoğlu who were founders of two departments of sociology, one in Faculty of Letters, the other, in the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University. They were both born in 1901 and died in 1974, living through and sociologically observing and analyzing Young Turk and Republican revolutions, first and second world wars and 1960 and 1971 military interventions.
