Bahattin Akşit 2024 Ünal Nalbantoğlu & Korkut Tuna: Urban Sociology & Critiques of Global Sociology

This video is the English version of the Lecture on H. Ünal Nalbantoğlu and Korkut Tuna. Nalbantoğlu graduated from METU sociology, worked in social work department of Hacettepe University for some years, then he transferred to METU Sociology and was evicted by 1980 Military Intervention administration, worked in California Berkley as part time instructor and returned to METU after winning his court case. He worked in METU sociology until his death in 2011. Tuna had undergraduate and graduate education in department of sociology in Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University. He worked in the same department until retirement. After retirement he has been working in the department of sociology of Istanbul Ticaret University.
