不多时，眼前出现一座红门。鸟落了地，童子先下，扶吴生也下来，吴生问：“这是哪里？”童子回答说：“这是天门。”门两边有一对大老虎蹲在那里，吴生很害怕，童子护着他领着进去。只见处处风景与世间大不相同。童子领他到了广寒宫，宫内都是水晶台阶，走路像走在镜子上一般。两棵大桂花树，高大参天，荫翳天日，花气随风飘来，香气袭人。房屋、亭子都是一色红窗红门，时常有美女出出进进，个个端庄秀美，人间无比。童子说：“王母宫的宫女更漂亮。”因怕白生等久了，没能多留，童子匆忙领他走出广寒宫。
