Baiting Operations For Deer And Elk In Coming Days

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will begin baiting operations to steer deer and elk away from roadways, where they are finding most of their food this winter. This is not a feeding operation to save the animals from starving. That can come with unintended consequences - namely the spread of disease. CPW asks that citizens not feed the animals on their own because their digestive systems cannot handle the food and hay, and that is illegal.
