Battling any disbelief or willful ignorance around these realities is essential to creating meaningful understanding and change. Danielle asks Bakari the question that continues to haunt her – Is America worth saving? Bakari resounding answers that he knows it is and that his hope and faith will not be extinguished. In order to honor all those that have fought before us and to propel the country into one that he envisions his twins’ freedom to live peacefully and fully, Bakari remains committed and hopeful.
