Ballinesian | Ep 195 - "Commander in Cheat", Raiders add to staff, Dame Valerie Adams to Hall of Fame, Chelsea Gray wins inaugural Unrivaled 1-on-1 Championship, Destanee Aiava announces retirement

BALLINESIAN PODCAST ON THE POLYTICKIN NETWORK Welcome back to the show for our first episode of the NFL offseason! What are some ways that people play sports that could tell you something about them? Maybe they're a selfish ball hog or a OnCourt Only Bully. Maybe they're a head-down-and-grind role player that you can depend on. Maybe they were a Coach's Kid and can't put up with low standards, or maybe they're a notorious cheat at golf. New segment: "I Read A Book" starts this week with "Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump" by Rick Reilly, the famed Sports Illustrated columnist and golf historian, documenting different ways the President cheats at the sport and his businesses around it. Leave a question or comment below and we'll discuss more. Also, suggest non-fiction or sports books for us to read for this new segment. Thanks! The Raiders are bringing in new coaches to fill out Klint Kubiak's staff. We're in the early part of the season where anything is really possible, so we dream. Also, shout outs to Dame Valerie Adams for making the NZ Sports Hall of Fame, Chelsea Gray for winning the Unrivaled One-on-One championship and to Destanee Aiava for announcing her retirement from her "toxic boyfriend" of tennis. All the best! Leave a comment, hot take, sports question or birthday shout out below or message us on Instagram or TikTok, or email [email protected].
