Fresno voters may now face two competing tax measures in November. Measure S, the Better Roads, Safe Streets initiative, survived a political and legal fight to reach the ballot but is now in litigation, while Fresno’s proposed general sales tax remains after councilmembers failed to muster a quorum to remove it.
