B&R #020 | Don't Get Caught Up

from Bourne & Raised Hosted by Bourne & Raised Podcast

This week on Bourne & Raised, Tim, Carrie, Jordan, and Titus continue the Surrounded conversation by unpacking a powerful warning from Hebrews 12:1 — the sin that so easily entangles us. What does it really mean to get “caught up”? Through the stories of Esau and Samson, the Bournes explore how small compromises can lead to bigger consequences, and how easily distraction, desire, and disobedience can pull us away from what God has called us to. This episode is both a warning and an invitation. A warning about the dangers of drifting, and an invitation to live with awareness, discipline, and purpose. The conversation closes with a powerful distinction: regret vs. repentance. Regret leads to grief and staying stuck. Repentance leads to God, freedom, and restoration. If you have ever felt pulled off track or caught in something you did not intend, this episode will challenge and encourage you to refocus and move forward.
