B&R #043 | Why Trust Is So Important

from Bourne & Raised Hosted by Bourne & Raised Podcast

This week on Bourne & Raised, Tim, Carrie, Jordan, and Mark continue their conversation on organizational health, focusing on trust and why healthy teams can navigate disagreement without questioning each other’s motives. We discuss how trust is earned through character, consistency, and follow-through, how gossip and inconsistent leadership undermine it, and why genuine accountability requires relationships built on trust. The conversation also celebrates dependable volunteers and explores why leaders must invest in others rather than try to do everything themselves. When healthy culture is modeled consistently, it begins to reproduce itself. Tim and Carrie share personal stories of sacrificing comfort and resources to make room for teammates, reminding us that building a healthy team means putting the mission ahead of ourselves.
