Bandstand S1E7: Dr. John Zastoupil and the upcoming Volunteer Concert Clinic

On today’s episode, Megan Christian and I welcome Dr. John Zastoupil, who is in his second year leading the band program at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.  Dr. Zastoupil and his colleagues at UT are hosting the Volunteer Concert Clinic on February 22, and we spend some time chatting about this upcoming event.  We also discuss what students and parents can expect from being a part of the UT band program.  We spend a few minutes talking about the Yamaha Harmony Director and its usefulness in teaching intonation.  We discuss Dr. Zastoupil’s journey to UT and conclude with an admonition to band directors across our great state.  I hope you enjoy this episode with our co-host Megan Christian and Dr. John Zastoupil.
