Bank of Canada rate Cut, Shopping Around for Car Insurance, and Seniors Week / Alzheimer Calgary
from The Morning Brew with Andrew Schultz · host Corus Radio
It’s finally happened! The Bank of Canada has cut it’s Key Interest Rate for the first time in 4 years! We breakdown the BoC’s decision and how it will impact you and your family with Jeremy Kronick, Associate Vice President at the C.D. Howe Institute. Auto thefts, insurance fraud and inflation are a few of the reasons you might have noticed an increase in your car insurance over the last year. So, how can you find the best rate with the right amount of coverage to fit your needs? We get some advice from Matt Hands, Vice President of Insurance at ‘ratehub.ca’. Finally, according to a recent survey, more than half of Calgarians (or 57%) point to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as the ‘health conditions’ they fear most. Is dementia an inevitable part of aging and what resources are available in the City for those living with dementia? We get the answers from Megan Williams, Communications Specialist with “Alzheimer Calgary”.
