Extract from James Low's "The flow of transmission and the transmission of flow" teachings in Macclesfield, on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2007.James talks about how in the Buddhist context, what is being transmitted is not cognitive knowledge— a body of facts that make us knowledgeable about something—but rather the possibility of a different way of being so that we find ourselves more at ease. The one who is doing the transmitting should transmit from a state of ease, the transmission itself should flow as easy as possible, and the reception of it should also be with ease.
